With a budget of $1,000, a design team tackles a problem area such as a boring bedroom, lackluster living room, cluttered dining room or outdated office space. Together, the team transforms the ordinary into the awesome. And what fun to see the residents' reaction to their new room! The budget isn't big, but the payoff sure is.
Summer Baltzer has been an interior designer for 15 years, a project manager for over 13 years and recently added another title to her credentials: general contractor. When her parents lost their life savings in a building fiasco, she didn't just sit around getting mad; she and her family began a mission to help other people who have fallen prey to contractors. With a budget of $10,000 or less and just three days to get the job done, the Baltzers work toward giving deserving clients the design of their dreams.
